New challenge for Cecilia Bartoli. Iphigénie en Tauride is an opera the soprano has never sung. After her magnificent Cenerentola, this should be another treat from Zurich.

METZ: Reinoud van Mechelen

Arsenal Thursday, February 13th, 20h

Dumesny, haute-contre de Lully

Airs d’opéras de Jean-Baptiste Lully, Pascal Collasse, Marin Marais, Henry Desmarest, Marc Antoine Charpentier, Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre, André Destouches…

Very few haute-contre voices can be numbered in the world. A type of voice still not very well known and still confused with countertenors. A nice opportunity to get to know this voice with specialist Reinoud van Mechelen conducting his own ensemble.

Agrippina, certainly Ann Hallenberg's role of her life ! She doesn't play the role, she IS Agrippina. The witty and smart staging of Mariame Clément transposed into the Dallas series is a treat not to be missed.
